Precision Mechanical Force Gauges

When it comes to construction and developmental projects, having the right equipment and tools for the job is essential for safety and a high-quality finish. That is why R.D. Jacobs Company offers high-quality, reliable mechanical force gauges. Whether you are looking for a mechanical force gauge or tension dynamometer, you can count on us to provide you with the best quality tools. Our company draws on decades of experience to ensure our products are expertly crafted force measurement tools that get the job done right.

We pride ourselves on using the highest quality materials for durability and functionality. Precision is key to ensure safety, not only for the workers but the people who will be using the structures and buildings. Our company primarily provides products from Dillon, who manufacture high-end dynamometers for the construction industry. Heavy loads won’t be a problem with our dynamometers; you will never have to worry about any issues with a mechanical force gauge that is reliable and delivers precise readings every time.

Model X-C with Compression Calibration

Model X-C comes in eleven capacities ranging from 25 lb. to 50,000 lb. or 10 kg to 20,000 kg. All feature accuracy of ±1% of full capacity, except the 25,000 lb. and 50,000 lb. (10,000 kg and 20,000 kg) capacity instruments which are accurate to ±2% of full capacity. This model is also available in Newton capacities.

Model X-ST with Tension Calibration

Dillon offers the Model X-ST in nine capacities from 25 lb. to 10,000 lb. or 10 kg to 5,000 kg, as well as Newton capacities. Accuracy is ±1% of full range. (Note: For applications requiring capacities beyond 10,000 lb. or 5,000 kg in tension, consider the Dillon Dynamometer.) Tension Force Gauges in capacities through 2,000 lb. (1,000 kg) are supplied with two rod-end connectors. 5,000 lb. and 10,000 lb. (2,000 kg and 5,000 kg) capacities are equipped with convenient shackles and pins.

Model X-PP with Compression & Tension

Force gauges calibrated in push-pull are available in seven capacities in lb. ranging from 50-0-50 to 5,000-0-5,000 and four metric capacities from 50-0-50 to 1,000-0-1,000 kg. Newton calibration is also available. Accuracy is ±2% of maximum dial reading (based on total capacity of both compression and tension scales).

Model X-PP Compression Mechanical Force Gauges

Model X-PP gauges in capacities up to and including 1,000-0-1,000 lb. or 500-0-500 kg are supplied with a set of self-aligning spherical rod-end connectors for tension loading. Force is applied to connectors through a hardened steel pin which must be a slip fit in connector holes.

2,500-0-2,500 lb. and 5,000-0-5,000 lb. and 1,000-0-1,000 kg capacity gauges are equipped with two shackle adapters, shackles and pins. Shackles must be removed when compression load is involved. Force is then applied against shackle pins in a suitable test setup. All push-pull gauges are supplied with a compression-loading spherical ball fitting for compression loading.

Model U Force Gauge

The Model U Force Gauge is an accurate (±1% of full range) mechanical compression measurement instrument with a slim line design that has repeatedly proven valuable in installations where space is at a premium. The versatility of this simple instrument is demonstrated by the fact that it can be used as a hand-held device, permanently mounted on a flat surface plate or used in test fixtures.

U Force Gauges are available for measurement in lbs., kegs or Newtons, with 9-lbs. capacities ranging from 25 lb. to 10,000 lb. The 7 kg capacities range from 10 kg to 5,000 kg. On light capacity models (25 lb. to 250 lb. or 10 kg to 100 kg), you can choose between flat bottom and recessed design.
